More Free Books for Teachers

As an educator or program leader serving children in need who needs books and supplies, you use the options at your disposal to maximize your students’ learning experience. You’ve just recently signed up with First Book… now what?

When funding is available through sponsors and partners, we’ll send an email to you to let you know that there is a book distribution happening in your area. All you have to do is follow the instructions in the email. On the date of the distribution, come on by and pick up your brand-new books!

But you don’t have to wait until there’s a book distribution near you to receive the essentials you need.  Actually, there are two different ways to get books from First Book without putting miles on your vehicle.

  • The First Book MarketplaceWith over 2,500 items curated in direct response to member input, the First Book Marketplace addresses the barriers to education and attendance for kids in need from birth to age 18, including a large collection of diverse and bilingual books, school supplies, digital devices, food, clothing, and personal hygiene kits, as well as free teacher resources.
  • The First Book National Book BankThis section of the First Book Marketplace is a centralized distribution system for large-scale donations of children’s books from publishers to schools and programs serving kids in need.

So keep your eyes on your email inbox! We’re so excited to welcome new members to our community of educators and can’t wait to share our newest books and resources with you!
