Thanks to Vineyard Vines and Simon & Schuster, we’re part of the #WhalesForACause campaign. And it revolves around you! To get involved, all you need to do is pick up your favorite art supplies and start coloring! For every whale that’s colored and posted online, these partners will donate a brand new book to a child in need.
Want to let your creativity shine? Color your own whale and post it to Twitter or Instagram with #WhalesForACause! You can download it here.
Here’s how people are getting involved so far:
Kids are helping kids! And we love to see that:

People are coloring whales to show off their love of reading:
And to celebrate where they’re from:
They’ve colored them to be cutesy:
1 Whale=1 Book! In partnership with@simonschuester we’re supporting @FirstBook, a nonprofit that provides brand new books to children in need. And to be artsy as well!
My ELA class designed their own #WhalesForACause after reading Rainbow Fish and the Big Blue Whale. Excited for @vineyardvines and @simonschuster to donate books to kids in need! pic.twitter.com/cfl40M8J2w
