We’ve been on the road to WrestleMania with WWE Superstars for the last three years. Together, we’ve given over 70,000 books to kids. This year, WrestleMania takes place in New Orleans and we’ve once again joined our friends from WWE to provide books for students along the way!
The WrestleMania Reading Challenge (WMRC) is a 6-week program where students across New Orleans will compete to be crowned the WrestleMania 2018 “Superstar of Reading!” From January 22nd to March 2nd, educators and students across New Orleans will track their minutes read and become eligible to win prizes including a visit from a WWE Superstar, tickets to WrestleMania 34, and more!
First Book and WWE kicked off the fun with a reading celebration that included (pictured below from left to right) WWE Superstar Big Cass, WWE Ambassador Dana Warrior, WWE Superstar Mandy Rose, NXT Superstar Ember Moon, and NXT Superstar No Way Jose…
… And of course the guests of honor, reading superstars from Bricolage Academy! Check out photos from the event:
In addition to visiting Bricolage Academy, we had the opportunity to also visit the students at Harold Keller Elementary on Thursday, February 8 where the WWE Superstars were welcomed with excitement. The next stop will be Woodland West Elementary, which will get not only a visit from WWE Superstars, but like Bricolage Academy, will receive 1,000 brand new books courtesy of WWE.
