Happy Digital Learning Day!

Digital Learning Day is a yearly celebration of inspiring, innovative uses of technology. These innovations are improving learning experiences for kids in schools and programs across the country.

Over the past year we’ve added some exciting new digital learning resources to the First Book Marketplace, and we’ve seen members of the First Book community of educators doing amazing work with these tools.

E-books

Sharing eBooks with children is a great way to support digital literacy and to keep them reading wherever they are.

We’ve partnered with BookShout, an eBook reading platform, to make a wide array of both classics & new releases available on the First Book Marketplace.

Games

Red Apple Reading is a trusted educational tool that helps children in preschool through 3rd grade learn how to read with the help of animated videos and engaging games. This award-winning digital service boosts children’s reading confidence with over 100 hours of practice and 160 video lessons that teach alphabet letters and sounds, beginning to advanced phonics, word families, sight words, vocabulary, and reading.

E-Readers

Using eReaders can help increase access to digital learning on the go! We’ve recently added ready-to-use 8″ eReaders (with Wi-Fi or 3G) to the First Book Marketplace to make e-books and literacy games more accessible to the schools and programs we serve.
