Since 2007, First Book and Tata Sons have partnered to distribute over half a million books and educational resources across communities in the US and Canada, by bringing together employee volunteering and First Book’s vast educator network. Through Reading Celebrations and Truck of Books events with employees from different group companies including Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Tata Chemicals, Tata Communications, Tata Technologies, JLR, Taj Hotels, Tata Steel, Tata International, Tata Consumer Products, Tanishq and Air India, together, we have impacted over 600,000 children in need by providing high-quality books and educational resources. One of the largest group companies, TCS provides advisory and technology consulting services to build capacity and capability for organizations and non-profits seeking to create social and environmental impact. Their expertise in this space allows us to continue to evaluate and improve our operational efficiencies and has supported us with data governance and IT services.
