The First Book Open Virtual Golf Tournament

First Book and partners sponsored virtual event to support the mission of eliminating barriers to educational equity.

First Book would like to thank our partners, Topgolf, WGT by Topgolf, and the Build-A-Bear Foundation for their support in launching the Inaugural First Book Open to help eliminate barriers, inspire young minds, and change lives. First Book believes that efforts like this can provide much needed support to reach 100% of Title I and Title I-eligible schools and programs serving kids in need, and ultimately close the resource gap in low-income communities.​ Virtual tournament play kicked off with a live stream event on October 14^th that featured special guest players, interactive games, and more. This was followed by a month of purposeful play and fun that wrapped up on November 14^th.

Virtual Tournament Highlights

Special thanks to the WGT community for playing in our tournament, to the First Book Network, and the many supporters who donated to First Book. But answering the call to help kids in need does not end here. Donations can still be made to support educators who, like First Book, are committed to the kids they serve.
