You may have seen First Book president, CEO, and co-founder Kyle Zimmer describing how to post a “shelfie” to hosts Whoopi, Joy, Sunny, and Meghan on The View.
What’s a shelfie? It’s a selfie photo with a favorite book or in front of a bookshelf posted on social media with the hashtag #MagicofStorytelling that unlocks a book donation from Disney to the kids we serve. It’s an easy way to help a child in need right now. Click here for a guide on how to post your own shelfie!
Ever since Kyle’s TV appearance, the shelfies have been pouring in! We picked out some of our favorite pictures from folks you may have seen on the big screen, as well as fellow book-lovers who want to help kids in need, just like you.
Don’t wait to join in the fun! We hope to reach 1 million shelfies posted & books donated by March 31, 2018.
