Room to Read

First Book has partnered with Room to Read to increase access to multilingual books for children in low-income communities. Together, we have distributed three pre-bundled book collections in Spanish, Dari and Pashto, and Haitian Creole—offered for free through the First Book Network. Developed alongside researchers and native-language authors and illustrators, these collections authentically reflect the cultures and experiences of the communities they serve. By providing children with linguistically and culturally relevant books, this initiative helps bridge education gaps, support multilingual learners, and ensure that children have access to stories that resonate with them.
